TNDG’s work included an extensive online survey of existing and former Bay Area journalists (with over 700 individuals participating) and executive interviews with media executives. In addition, TNDG completed a detailed analysis of employment trends (by both industry and occupation) for the overall Bay Area media cluster. It is anticipated that this study will become a national model for regions attempting to address the workforce challenges associated with the dramatic, ongoing changes in the way news is delivered.
